[chie's been running around a lot tonight. what a chatterbug. before curfew falls, she catches jay and tells him to meet at their usual spot. things are very convenient when your roommate is dead. luckily, dipper and mabel have yet to arrive to stay the night, so they can have a little privacy.

once he arrives, she wastes no time in getting to the point.]

So we don't waste time arguing in circles tomorrow... who did your group kill this week?

[ he's actually surprised that she didn't know. ]

[the flicker of surprise on her face is brief, but... no, that makes sense.]

...Right, because Clementine killed Tsurugi, and Akane killed Quer. [she sighs.] I'm glad I didn't have to thumb wrestle you for that.

[ninjay]

There's no point in trying to hide it.

Did you guys really have to do that to Nagasone's body, though?

[ninjay]

The chainsaw was a gift from the Unclean. Yukina was concerned of what she would do if it wasn't used.

[ thus, corpse jigsaw. ]

He wasn't actually killed using it though.

[she nods]

There'd probably be way more blood on it if he was.

...Look how far we've come, talking about murder like it's the weather.

When you're surrounded by death you get used to it.

I hope none of them suffered for too long.

[ninjay]

None of ours did.

[ he can't speak for tsurugi's kill though. ]

[wristbands]

...Yeah, you don't strike me as the dramatic murderer type.

[she peers at him closely, her tone hard to read.]

Drama isn't efficient. The only reason they were here is so people could hide their identity as the killer, I'd think.

[ hm. ]

Well, the main reason anyway. Some people are just dramatic. [ MIRA ]

...That's how I'd want to go, I think. Fast and clean, so I don't have the chance to fight it even if I wanted to.

[ he blinks, not really expecting that. chie is always full of surprises. ]

That might be nice.

[wristbands]

If I didn't die right away, I'd still feel like I'd wanna beat it, even if I knew I couldn't, you know? [she laughs, though it's not an expression of humor.] I'm stubborn like that.

[ninjay]

I think that's natural. Your instinct is always to live, even when you know that it's for the best.

[ which is probably why people are fighting it. ]

[wristbands]

[fair enough, she'll concede...]

Hah... the other day we were talking so casually about murder, now I'm talking about my own death.

[ninjay]

[ jay, at this point, is pretty used to talking about his own death so he just smiles a little sympathetically. ]

Hopefully when you go back home this isn't a trend you're going to have to continue.

Yeah, trying to stop the killing is my job. Unofficially, I mean, but... still.

[ninjay]

Ah, right. The mass murders.

At...least we already caught that guy, so I think I'd be safe at home?

Well... let's hope so. It would be a shame otherwise.

[ if people go home after this and just immediately die then welp. ]
